ECHOCHORUS, EDWARD D-TECH & PLATONS BURAVICKIS

Echochorus is an experiment in Dub Techno and Minimal Techno led by Kirils Lomunovs, Latvia based multi genre sound and video artist, also known as vintage analog synth expert, who works in the field of experimental electronic and analog music and has been a part of the alternative scene in Latvia since the early 90-ties. During the years, in a search of a novel sound, deep electronic and analog sound exploration led Kirils Lomunovs to participate and establish several dissimilar musical projects such as Kriipis Tulo, Astrowind and Echochorus. His music was published in Germany, Italy, France, Denmark, Turkey, Spain, USA and Ukraine. Four of Echochorus albums (Alley, Aelita, Ayahuasca Experience Live and Matu Ausis) were published during 2012 and 2013 in Paris, France.

Edward D-Tech performs using Korg MicroSampler, Boss Gt-6, Korg Electribe ER-1, Alesis NanoVerb. Behringer QX; Sampled sounds from Yamaha SK, Oberheim Matrix, Roland Fantom-X, Roland D-50, D110 and other.

 

Edward D-Tech is a multi-instrumentalist, professional music composer and a teacher in Latvian Academy of Arts as well as a trained electronics engineer. He has done quite a few pieces of music, narration, recordings, foley and voice acting for motion picture soundtrack, as well as for animation. He plays piano, keyboards, electronic signal sources, trash percussion or anything else that makes a sound when interacted with. D-Tech’s performances usually are rare occasions, but when playing he uses various midi gear.


 

Platon Buravicky performs live using Eurorack consisting of Erica Synths: Black Varishape VCO2, Black Polivoks VCF, Black Dual EG/LFO, Black Octasource, Black Quad VCA, MIDI-CV, SCALE, also Erica Synhs Acid Box, KORG Volka, Beats and Bass and Soundcraft MPM12/2 mixer.

 

​Platon Buravicky is a contemporary classical composer,  pianist  and improviser. Studied composition under Pēteris Vasks direction, later receiving a Master’s Degree in composition from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under the direction of professor Selga Mence. His creative work is not only dedicated to symphonic and chamber music, but also electroacoustic music which has taken an important role in his oeuvre. Buravicky composes musique concrète & soundscapes based on sound synthesis, i.e. he often creates virtual tools and module algorithms, which are then used like instruments for music production and live performance.
